The lawsuit challenges the Board of Supervisors\u2019 approval of the Devil\u2019s Gate Sediment-Removal Program in Hahamongna Watershed Park.<\/p>\n<p>In December of 2013, concerned about the substantial negative impact on air quality, traffic, noise and habitat destruction the program as designed would bring to the western edge of Altadena, AH members voted to submit comments on the controversial program\u2019s draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR). AH\u2019s <a title=\"San Gabriels to the Sea: How Hahamongna Fits In\" href=\"http:\/\/altadenaheritage.com\/devils-gate-dam\">comments<\/a> were among hundreds on the draft EIR urging the County to adopt a less adverse plan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;left&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>An environmentally sensitive alternative plan was developed in the interim by the Pasadena Sediment Removal Working Group. Known as \u201cThe Pasadena Plan,\u201d it was approved by the Pasadena City Council and supported by numerous other communities and organizations, including the AH Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the County passed the Final EIR on November 12, 2014, with no significant changes to the draft opposed by AH and other groups, including the affected communities.
